About Us
Suraksha Soles is the primary project that arose from the idea to protect those who play a vital role in building our nation. People working at many construction sites in India do not have adequate footwear since safety boots are too expensive. Suraksha Soles confronts this issue straight away by recycling PVC scrap from construction areas and turning it into budget-friendly work shoes. The shoes appear and feel just like any other construction boot. However, Unlike other shoes, Suraksha Soles adds value to the materials through their closed-loop process: after a few months, the used shoes are recovered, processed and provided again, with a large part of the initial material still in use. Additionally, It also helps to cut costs as employers don’t have to buy new shoes everytime the last pair gets ruined, while also reducing waste, protecting workers, showing that being sustainable and safe are not at odds. Suraksha Soles stands for the need for smart and sustainable building practices.
